In December 2017, 10 budding singers were chosen from over 200 applicants to be a part of APDP and of the 10, 2 advanced to be a part of the second cohort: DeZii and Daniel Griffith. The programme focuses on local artists who are deemed on the cusp of export readiness and are in need of specific capacity development in areas spanning across the business of music.
“The APDP is evidence of the plethora of musical talent we have right here at home. MUSICTT is looking forward to exploring and furthering the reach of our brand of music to the wider world through the talents of those who will be moving on to join DeZii and Daniel in cohort 2 of the programme,“ Melissa Jimenez, General Manager MusicTT.
The Artist Portfolio Development Programme (APDP) was conceptualized with the intention of refining a portfolio of musical artists annually who can be shopped to the world. Not all artists, however, are ready for the global stage in terms of quality and export-readiness. The APDP seeks to identify those who have the international potential for export, grooming them to leverage their creative talent on the worldwide market.
