Launch RockIt and MusicTT Host Startup Weekend Music Edition

Port of Spain, Wednesday 9th October: The Trinidad and Tobago Music Company Limited (MusicTT), in partnership with Launch RockIt, hosted the Startup Weekend Music Edition at Abercrombie Tea House from Friday September 27th through Sunday September 29th 2019.
This Startup Weekend saw 7 teams of entrepreneurs pitch 25 solutions to problems in the music industry to a panel of industry experts. Three teams were selected to receive incubation services with the intent to commercialize their solutions from 7th October – 31st December 2019.

Startup Weekend is a 54-hour weekend event where groups of developers, business managers, startup enthusiasts, marketing gurus, graphics artists and more pitch ideas for new startup companies. Teams are formed around these ideas that develop working prototypes, demos or presentations by the end of the weekend, while they experience the highs, lows, fun and pressure that startup life brings. As they learn how to create a real company, they’ll meet the very best mentors, investors, cofounders and sponsors who are ready to help them get started.
