In its drive towards developing a commercially-viable, sustainable music sector in this country, the Trinidad and Tobago Music Company Limited (MusicTT) is inviting stakeholders to submit applications for small investments/ sponsorship for music projects aligned to the company’s mandate.
General Manager of MusicTT, Jeanelle Frontin explained, “MusicTT’s focus is twofold. Not only are we responsible for developing and strengthening the business capacity of our stakeholders, we’re also focused on facilitating trade and export opportunities for the industry’s products. This small investment programme is an open call for proposals that will provide funding to selected local music initiatives and projects that fit into this framework.”
Frontin also added, “Applications will be assessed on several keys areas including the project’s relevance to our mandate, the applicant’s executional capacity, the proposed methodology, the overall budget and the ability of the applicant to ensure the project itself is cost-effective and is not entirely dependent on the small investment we may give. As such, I encourage all stakeholders interested in applying to carefully read the guidelines outlined in the Evaluation Criteria Package and to ensure, and prove, that their projects align with the criteria.”
Music practitioners interested in applying for this funding can visit MusicTT’s website to download the Sponsorship Package and Evaluation Criteria. The deadline for submitting proposals is Friday 13th January, 2017.
